Zapnito is a platform for creating expert communities, which promote thought leadership and foster collaboration, connecting brands with their customers to build engagement and trust.
I joined Zapnito in 2015 as their founding designer. In that time I oversaw all things design, crafting the product from an expert marketplace to an enterprise community platform.
Jellyfish Design System
Jellyfish is the design system used across all touchpoints, including the product, websites, and internal tools. It was my job to design and creatively direct the creation and documentation of the design system.
Theming
A unique selling point of Zapnito was its ability to support customers' unique branding requirements, creating a unified experience with their existing products. Therefore the design system had to be able to support this. Foundational visual styles such as typography, colours, corner radii, shadows all were configurable via design tokens, with hooks to support more bespoke theming.
